I believe, based on sales figures, that many people have slowed down their pace of prepping. Many are like myself, satisfied with the amount of consumables that are on hand, they are spending their prepper budget on bigger prepper items such as a camper, improvements on said camper to increase storage, power sustainability, etc. these run the entire gamet from low cost to high cost types of investment such as solar panels, etc.

I just spent $200 last month creating external storage on my camper. My camper is my INCH Bag.

Just my observations and thoughts....

Some prepping is not be visible in the stores. Recently in travel news, I notice there has been some discussion about improving the protection of one's digital privacy. That's a kind of prepping, too.

I doubt that sales of FD foods are highly correlated with all the various modes of "prepping." I use FD foods, but typically only in fairly specialized circumstances - backpacking in areas when there is water available. I also store food that is available for contingencies - canned foods are a good bet for that situation - long lasting, nutritious, cheap, easy to prepare.

Also, bulk items are cheap if you can store them properly. ( fifty pounds of rice, etc.)
