In no particular order: - competitive target shooting (mostly muzzle loader and CAS) - reloading - playing music instruments (guitar, banjo, blues harp and tin whistle - watchmaking - riding my motorcycle - amateur radio - growing chillies (extra hot or better), some people believe that eating those chillies is insane

You're a watchmaker? That sounds fascinating. Jeanette Isabelle

I don't know if this restores my sanity, or increases my insanity, but here's what I routinely do to occupy my time as of this moment: - Work
- Play classical piano
- Read - a lot of James Rollins books currently, adventure/intrigue fiction
- Informal target shooting - previously mostly handgun, but now getting into long range rifle, and expanding from handgun reloading to precision rifle reloading
- Computer - Linux administration, media servers, wasting time surfing the internet, also toying with a Raspberry Pi at the moment (creating my own "NextCloud" server for the family)
- Studying for ham radio license
- Building a portable shooting table
- Going to classical symphony concerts
- Enjoying the hot tub on cold evenings
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten out hiking lately. Or fishing. Now that Spring weather is here/approaching, that will change.

Based on experiences in the psychiatric hospital, I agree. Jeanette Isabelle

Russ is right. This is a crazy topic.
Haertig, I found that reloading, either pistol or rifle, was hugely rewarding and relaxing - right up there with wood working. I enjoyed reloading fully as much as shooting the rounds i had made.

I've been reloading pistol for several years. But only .223 in rifle. All those were reloaded for function, not precision. Now I'm just starting into reloading .308 for precision. I recently bought a Ruger Precision Rifle and a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP to try to break into longer range shooting. I enjoy reloading. Not quite as much as shooting, but enjoyable still.

Actually I do maintenance for old watches (most of them "Made in GDR") to keep them running. Yes, it is fascinating. It also offers an abundance of opportunities to crawl around on the floor and practice the proper use of swear words while searching for small parts that made it to the floor . I used to make some jewellery too. It comes in very handy when you need a gift for your significant other and only have some sterling silver wire and solder. I created a small collection of chainmail themed items.
