Nice, the system works. I need to learn a bit more about SPOT as a messaging service. I have an ACR ResQLink PLB, but the ACR PLB does not do messaging. The SPOT's S.O.S. function would add redundancy and its coverage area seems to have improved a bit. In any case covers everywhere I go.
Unlike a PLB, SPOT requires a
subscription service which costs
$149.99 per year and it looks to be necessary even for the S.O.S. function. If that table is wrong and the S.O.S. function works without a subscription, they should note that. However, you also get other services which would be useful short of an emergency. ...
thinking, not convinced ... It might be a good option.
