It's not either/or for me as I want to be prepared for urban (where I live) and rural (where I visit and drive through) situations.

Just re-stocked batteries this week because last weekend my neighborhood experienced the fourth extended power outage since August. Infrastructure problems, apparently, related to rapid development that the local utilities can't handle.
