Agree completely. Just look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab A with a 7" -- Galaxy Tab A 7.0 was released in March 2016 with a 7" 1280x800 display and 1.5 GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 and obviously has lots of apps available. The 2016 version Tab A is currently on sale at Best Buy for $89.99, which is compelling. You still need to be able to charge it in the field, think Goal Zero.
