As in EVER -- Crosby, Stills, & Nash, CSN ("1969" Complete 1st L.P./Classic Vinyl) I bought this album in 1970 and can't count the number of times I listened, alas, this is something I need to replace. The YouTube sounds great through a good headset. Enjoy.

Okay, then there's Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Déjà vu (Complete Record), maybe that's the best ever. Harmonics are better in the CSN album, but there's something about Neil Young juxtaposed with those harmonics in the second album that is just outstanding. They're both great albums, although the Déjà vu YT audio is very noisy (almost like vinyl), the CSN audio is much cleaner.

"Best album ever?" Dem's fightin' words! Better clarify the parameters before WWIII breaks out.

Nominate your favorite album, post a link if one is available so we can all listen for ourselves. Maybe in a year or three we'll vote ...

Hotel California - Eagles "you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave
Fleetwood Mac had some pretty good ones, too.

Reaching really far back (issued in 1959!): "Time Out" The Dave Brubeck Quartet.
Anyone out there ever hear it besides me?

I don't know if I'd call this my best album, but it's my most memorable, being the very first album I ever bought! Nowadays, my musical tastes are quite different - Chopin, Schubert, Debussy, Brahms, Beethoven, Liszt ... classical piano solo. But I still get excited when I hear Magic Carpet Ride getting fired up (mostly in elevators these days). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVir8VfIiBg_

I cannot say there is one album greater than another; there are great songs. A great song is one in which the artist puts their soul and everything in it. Examples include but are not limited to: "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beetoven "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6UAYGxiRwU"Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxPj3GAYYZ0"Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTIB10eQnA0"Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" by Backstreet Boys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBt8fN7mJNgJeanette Isabelle

Those are all great songs (works?), but we're looking for best album. Pick an album you like where every song is worthy and not just filler. Another album in this vein would be Joni Mitchell's "Hejira" (1976) Full Album

Depends on my mood.
Either "Heart Like a Wheel" by Linda Ronstadt
Or "Get Your Ya Yas Out" by the Rolling Stones.
