I don't know if this is any good, but there are a lot of sites listed, and might be worth a look. A friend of mine sent me the link in email. I haven't had a chance to look at or review any of these sites yet. But FWIW, if anyone here is bored and wants to snoop around, here it is:

One of my guilty pleasures is lurking on other "survival" sites. A couple of things are evident. One is a very simplistic paradigm- when SHTF, order will collapse and only those with a plentiful supply of food and necessities (arms and ammo, mostly) will fend off the ravaging hordes of clueless freeloaders. The sites will be heavily tinged with political views. There are lots of commercial advertising.

Somebody is making a fairly decent living off the survivalists.

After a session of survival lurking, I appreciate this site even more...

What, no zombiehunters.org ? Lots of fun to lurk, rough around the edges, occasional good ideas. At least they don't take themselves too seriously.

That's my benchmark for sites. If they think it'll be tooth and claw as soon as the lights go out and New Orleans after Katrina became the law of the jungle.
They don't know what they are talking about.

Great site! I've been a member for years.

Only been there for a few months. Massively tounge in cheek at times and excellent fiction section.

Not a real active forum, but one of the saner (no black helicopters confiscating your cucumber garden) sites. I'm still looking for a good urban specific preparedness forum that doesn't spend half it's bandwidth of 5.56 vs 7.62 related threads.

Not really a prepper website, but there's a fair amount of overlap.

EDC Forums is pretty cool but it took me a year or so get registered! That's how long the backlog is sometimes to get approved.
