This sort of stunt must make rescuers shake their heads. What could possibly go wrong? Maybe they were looking for 15 seconds of youtube fame. I guess we were all young and immortal once. crazy

It is not likely that a 70 year old would be up for that stunt, nor, for that matter, most ladies....

I'm surprised they weren't ticketed for general j@ck@ss behaviour; surely there's a bylaw. I guess it added a little interest to a slow day at the firehall. If they'd had a dunk in the icy water it would have cooled their enthusiasm considerably. There was a bridge a short way downstream and the piers have a way of adding interest.
