About 0130 local time we had a bit of excitement around here. A nice M 7.1 earthquake on the far side of Cook Inlet (from Anchorage). Definitely got our attention but no obvious damage at my house. From USGS: M7.1 - 83km E of Old Iliamna, Alaska

Apparently there were brief minor power outages, and some stuff knocked off shelves in some parts of town. ADN article.

Will be interesting to see what reports come in from the Kenai, which is closer to the epicenter.
