i was lacking in matches or a lighter at a friends house (i know, i know... "blaspheme no more!"). regardless, i had no access to fire except his stove, and i know he wouldnt have appreciated that. so, to light my cigarette, i decided to try the 9volt + steel wool method. i gathered my tools. and went outside. it was crappy steel wool, in fact it had the powdered soap on it still...so after i managed to get most of the soap off i got my arc on. wow! i didnt know it would work that well!, so i went to light my cigarette off of it. sure thing, it worked!!! i must say im glad that i learned how to do this finially...im SAD to say that i learned the hard way that its not a good idea to inhale smoldering steel wool.

Don't worry about the smoldering steel wool, give up the cigarettes and enjoy the air.
