I note that one of its stated applications is for "archaeological digs." Frankly this dinosaur couldn't get within fifteen miles of most of the sites on which I have worked. Is this a joke or a bad dream?

Not a joke or a bad dream...it's a target.

...and looks like a logistical nightmare. Can't imagine that using stock parts, sipping fuel or fitting on a regular lift.

Looks more like 'More money than sense' type of thing.

Mad Max War Rig minus the flamethrowers. I suppose you could throw a javelin or your favorite Molotov cocktail from the roof though. smile

I wonder how many gallons per mile it gets.

Looks like a lunar module and moon buggy rolled into one.

Don't worry about gallons per mile. I'm sure it contains an onboard drill rig.

It says it has a 170 gallon tank, with a 2000 mile range over "average terrain", whatever that means. That would be 11.7 MPG, which I find hard to believe.

I recently learned about the Volkswagen Westfalia Camper. It sleeps four, has a sink and gets close to 40 mpg.

The ultimate survival vehicle would be a Knight Industries Two Thousand.
