My BOB and GHB have back ups to my pocket EDC. I do not think this is a weight problem, as I can dispose of anything I don't really need in a given situation, to lighten the load. I do believe in redundancy to a reasonable extent. Also, I am rarely alone, and generally I am the only one prepared, so if something does happen, I can distribute the load.
