Thanks for the review, and I suppose there is a niche for this, but why would I spend $170 for a fairly heavy stove for which I have to scrounge suitable dry fuel (mind the weather forecast!) and then potentially clean up sooted pots if I am car camping where weight is a minor issue. Thanks,but I will probably go with any of several types of gas stoves, all of which are evidently hotter and faster.
In a disaster,when my gas is used up or unavailable, I will scrounge firewood, jury rig a fireplace of bricks and dirt, deal with soot, and hunker down.
Actually, I do enjoy the ambiance of a campfire, when appropriate.
