I wandered into Coast Cutlery this morning. Would anyone here recommend them?

I've never heard of Coast, but they are distributing Eddie Bauer products.

i used to own a Coast micro toolbox, DON'T buy it. the locking lever doesn't fit in to the slots, so it doesn't lock. the tools are hard to pull out, the finish i have seen is VERY poor. Compaired to the beter stuff on the market, this is just sad.

I was a little surprised to see the Eddie Bauer name on Coast products. Coast stuff is pretty much junk, I wouldn't buy any.
Smokey Mountain Knife Works is selling a couple of the Coast/Eddie Bauer items, from the catalog and web site the quality still looks poor.

Your opinions echo my own experience. I bought a Coast item at Walmart once. What a piece of crap, I'm sorry to say. I was hoping that maybe Eddie Bauer would pull Coast up in quality. Probably not, though.

I've carried one of their LED mini flashlights for the last year or so and have no complaints. I believe it's the V2 Power Chip. Outstanding beam strength.

I also carry one of their Micro Fishing Tools with me. Not smooth like a Leatherman (which I also carry) but dependable when you need it.

No complaints.
