A while back I shared a tip that I recycled a Stabil fuel stabilizer container for alchohol for my pop can stove (see Don Johnston's High Performance Alcohol Stove a.k.a Photon Stove). It has a handy 2nd chamber that fills by squeezing the body of the bottle. What's neat is that you can than measure the exact amount of fuel you want (0.5 oz., 1 oz., etc.) without having to carry a measuring cup/cap. Of course, shortly after I posted that message, they went and change the design. The 2nd chamber is now a long spout, which aids in pouring into a gas tank but makes it a little aukward for storing in a pack.

Well, I found an interesting alternative source for the original, more square style of bottle. It from Cool Brew, a coffee concentrate made with a cold water drip process. It's a liquid concentrate that you pour an ounce or so into hot water (or hot milk if you prefer Cafe au Lait). I was exploring the site looking for an alternative to the rancid crystal freeze dried instant coffees for backpacking. Unfortunately, the product needs refridgeration . But I ordered several bottles anyway because I love the occaisional chicory coffee and my wife doesn't. So I can pour myself a cup whenever I want . Plus it'll be nice for making iced coffee in the summer. And when I'm done, I'll have an extra fuel bottle!

BTW, only the French Roast is chicory free. All other flavors have chicory.
