Found the below article and it made me think of the Kim family, but with a better results.

It is amazing how fast a wrong turn can mess up your day, or week.

file a flight plan so we know where to look; its Australia mates, carry a radio, it is both cheap and easy to pack extra food -- even for a week. and PLB
