Today I got a marketing email about the "Ocean Signal rescueMe PLB 406" which purports to be the smallest PLB available. It appears to be roughly comparable in price to the ACR ResQLink plus 406, the PLB most commonly recommended here (according to my entirely unscientific recollection).

Has anyone here handled, bought, or tested the Ocean Signal rescueME unit?

I've only read the prerelease PR. It would be nice to read an independent review of a production unit. Near term I'll stay with my ACR ResQLink -- great size, good ergonomics, good rep.

This would appear to be the same PLB1 model that was discussed. Waiting for one of my PLBs to expire to test.
