This Saturday I am going out ont he Chesapeake Bay for a Bay Striper fishing tourney. I am curious to know what you would want to take with you on such a trip. It will be for one full day. Large Charter boat (46') and approximately 6-7 other men. So far I am taking a backpack with food and water for the day, flash light, fixed blade knife, sun block, sea sick pills, hat, hankerchief, and a disposable camera.

In addition to what Pete mentioned; Sunglasses and a warm, dry pair of clothes. I actually take two extra sets of clothes with me on a trip like this, one stays on land in the car and one goes into a drybag on the boat. It might just be me, but things just have a way of getting soaked.
If you're suceptable, you can start taking most sea-sickness meds the night before. Read the label to be sure, though.
Hope this helps,
Chris.

most definelty rain gear cause they be calling for isolated thunderstorms round these here parts. id reccomend a small first aid kit and a good set of needle nose plirs for removing those hooks that will invariably end up in your earlobe. good luck, much fun!

These are all good suggestions and I think I will incorporate them all. I have done a lot of boating/fishing in around Chincoteague VA. There it is impossible for you to be out of shouting distance to another boater. I have been with my Dad on his boat out about 30 miles or so. Out there all you have is whats on your person or boat. I shouldn't have any problem getting all the suggested gear into my pack. Thanks guys!

We had a place down there. We pulled out about 4 years ago. Sold the trailer but kept the boat. Looking forward to the trip tomorrow. I hear the stripers are hitting hard in the middle and lower parts of the Bay!

well pete beat me to most of my idea choices already.
but what about a few light sticks on the life vests and on your person incase anyone is in the water and its getting dark out?
maybe an extra weather radio for the boat as well?
