Hi everyone,

I've been researching glow in the dark products on and off for the last four years and have found that it is some pretty amazing stuff. Some products are so bright that you can actually navigate a dark house with it alone!

Here is just some of the things I'm doing with the stuff or plan to do with it:
-Emergency markings and labels on all kits
-on flashlights/headlamps
-on ponchos and rain gear
-on whistle
-on signal mirror
-on compass
-on fishing Speed Hooks. Attracts fish like crazy.
-on First Aid Kits, Firestarting Kits,

I got most of my info from candle power forums and http://glowinc.com/default.aspx

Any thoughts?

GITD works ok on wristwatches when you're completely dark adapted, since it's persistent enough that you can read the time all night by holding the watch up to your eye. For all those other uses you mentioned, you're better off with battery powered lights or tritium markers. For example, Eveready makes a nice under-$10 household flashlight that has a blinking locator LED that will run for 5+ years on the flashlight's two D cells.
