With that cutting edge,hair accessories will be next on the TSA ban list. My wife uses clips like that. I think the metal is to thin for the tools to work. The cutting edge will damage hair.

Not to drag the thread in another direction , but to remind ourselves that 'common items' can sometimes serve alternative needs.

One example is yesterday I was working on a DIY project at home and suddenly needed a flat screwdriver which I didn't think was needed for that project. Anyway, among the nuts and bolts was a few washers. I used a washer to tighten the screw and it worked.
