I haven't been online much, lately, so please forgive me if this has already been discussed and I missed it:

The charge from Pulvertec for the survival kit hit my credit card over a month ago, but I still haven't received it. What is the status of my order, and/or the survival kit orders, generally?

Murphy has been hard at work. The whistles, the last thing holding everything up, were finally done and then shipped to the wrong address. They have been reshipped. Supposedly everything is ready to go awaiting arrival of the whistles today or tomorrow. So, they should be shipping soon. Then I have to do my thing, which since I will be gone all next week means probably the first week of May. Nobody is more frustrated than me, I can assure you. <img src="images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the update, Doug. Don't feel rushed; I just wanted to make sure that my order didn't slip through the cracks, somehow.

I know this wasn't your doing, but Pulvertec should know that it is not acceptable business practice to charge for a product before shipping.

By the way, I'll be making a quick circuit of the Eastern Sierras during the first week in May, so mailing mine the second week of May would work better for me, if possible.

Don't blame Pulver Tech. That's my doing and that is standard practice for special order items. I don't have the bucks to order things and then discover somebody has changed their mind or their card's gone south, or whatever. This isn't a real business and Pulver Tech is kind enough to run these credit cards for me at their cost. So, whether its an ETS Sebenza or these Autographed PSPs, you get charged before I place the order. It's the only way I can afford to operate and I apologize if that wasn't clear. I will try to make sure that if I ever do any similar project again it is made more clear. Of course, I also expected them to have gone by now, but that's a whole other issue. <img src="images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Thanks for your understanding.

Special orders, small supply by private party, etc.--You're right that this is a special case where it was appropriate.

Just got home from a week on the road at the RTCM Conference and Beacon Manufacturer's Workshop. There's a big box in the foyer from AMK, which is supposed to be the kits. Assuming so, these will go out this week. I'll make an an announcment as soon as it's confirmed.

i just read that story and that really sucks, why not bring it to the attention of the media?

alot of local channels do a "shame on you" type of report and then harrass the right people till you get what you should have in the first place.

even though the news is mostly biased in my opinion stories like these still happen and with the time limit so short it might get coverage sooner.

its atleast worth a try to help your situation or atleast bring to light how they are jerking other people around with moronic laws.
