To try to put some more words into the sentiment represented by BountyHunters reply I would say:
If you find something interesting in another site that you would like to share with this community please feel free to but rather than simply posting the link without any attempt to draw the relevance out. I find it very helpful when folks draw something to my attention that I haven't yet become aware of. When I am looking around this forum and reading posts I generally won't follow an unexplained link. If you were to give a one or two sentence "executive summary" of the content which makes the relevance of the content to the topic of this site clear then I can discern if the link is likely to be a waste of my time or something I am about which I am interested.
Raw links without explaination or summarization or relevance to the topics feel much more like popup adverts than I am comfortable with.
