Well for a mere $2,999.00 we in the US can buy a FLIR Scout PS-32 Thermal Handheld Monocular with 320x240 pixel resolution. Note however that there are export restrictions, so it might be harder for you to order one from the UK. I see that Cabelas also lists this model in their web catalog.
