Jerry..i got the mits at a store in Canada,a "trading post" for tourists in Terrace Bay or Marathon.it's been 20 years so i don't recall which.we tenting by the lake in what was a WW2 POW camp.
they are the best winter mitts i ever had.the store had some tourist odds and ends but also had some high quality stuff like wolf furs and carved soap stone that was more than the normal Inute seals you see everywhere.
fingerless gloves..got two but like the folks who don't take the right gear because "who needs it" i left them home that day.....
