You are correct. What I was referring to and I assumed this thread was talking about was "Polar Fleece" or modern synthetic fleece. Which is normally shortened to simply fleece these days. Other forms of fleece are now very rare.

My point was no warn people about mixed fleece fabrics (synthetic/cotton blends) which a dangerous in cold weather. Wool Fleece would be an excellent layer against the cold.
