Somehow a post about a brazilian weather event turned into hostilities both in forum and an exchange of PMs. I have niether time, nor inclination to sort this one out. My tv, radio and online news sites are rife enough with the self inflicted horrors of humanity. The parties involved will have to figure this one out, and soon.

like i said chris i wasn't trying to upset the balance of the forum i was trying to point stories of interest in relation to the forum from now on i will not cap lock the post. if the fellow travelers who frequent the forum prefer i not post stories than i will do so

m9Key, I must say I am not offended at all by the fact that you brought up the topic that you brought up. I think that this originally was posted in the other forum but my memory could be faulty on that - anyway , please feel free to post. I have my opinions and reactions. When I am stating an opinion with supporting information I make a general post. When I must react then I attempt to tag it as an emotional reaction or rant. If this practice is nolonger sufficient then I will refrain in the future from submitting any post that I would have otherwise labeled as a rant. I felt that within the campfire that there was a little more room for us to let our hair down and get to know each other a bit more loosly than in the survival forum. As such I apologize if my reaction caused you to feel unwelcome.

I think there are way too many overly sensitive PC types out there.

I still feel the sting of having joked about the quality of trucks other than Fords.

M9KEY, your post is most appropriate. I moved it to the campfire. Sometimes posts are hard to judge, and I've moved a few over to the survival forum. I try to think what new guests want to see. We started to get some heated comments, so I had to do the Clint Eastwood razorblade eye look routine. - - The Campfire is a bit more relaxed. People just need to imagine it's a bar in Oakland California, and the elderly japanese man wanting to use the men's room turns out to be a injitsu grand national champion.
