Fortunately my 9 month old is probably the best a kid that age can be. Cries essentially if tired or hungry. So, if her eyes aren't getting the 1000 yard stare, shove some food in her mouth. Otherwise she's content to play or sit near a parent. Really a blessing to have an easy kid (knock on wood, only 20-60 years of parenting left!).
Food wise, she's improving, but still on the chunky/puree side of fruits/veggies. Improving with breads, softer stuff. 6 teeth already which helps, I think, and "teething" is usually a day or 2 of drool, without associated screaming, fevers, crying, etc.
She's still on breast milk only, so while I consider adding formula, I almost think it's a waste of time to buy it. She can drink cow milk at 1 year, so just toss in some carnation. If something happens between now and the, and we need to evac, the breast pump comes with, along with the frozen milk we have.
In a few months when mobile, who knows what we'll end up doing.
