People come and people go on forums...and sometimes people get booted. Unfortunately not everyone who gets kicked off actually deserves it, their only sin was crossing an very grumpy ex-moderator <C.ough...K.ough>. IMG_0985 by merriwether, on Flickr Some ETS oldtimers might remember the sarcastic wit and intense knowledge of Misanthrope. We're still in touch and managed to spend the weekend camping together even though he's in Chicago and I'm in Houston. Luckily central Texas is about half-way between us. Good times. -Blast More pics: IMG_1019 by merriwether, on Flickr IMG_0999 by merriwether, on Flickr IMG_0998 by merriwether, on Flickr IMG_0982 by merriwether, on Flickr

I still miss Old Bald Guy. I hope his soul is full of joy.

He's moved on to several other forums (BushcraftUSA and Zombie Squad, plus a few others). He does swing by ETS several times a month or so to check up on stuff. Maybe I can talk him into rejoining. -Blast
Hahaha! I love ZS, used to love BUSA but I got banned, too. To this day I have no idea why and no one will tell me. For the most part I'm a pretty low key guy...I'm still at ZS but not as active as I am here.

Is there not some kind of forgiveness policy for those who "do the crime" and then "do the time" off-forum? I suppose it depends on the crime.
Great pics!!! That one tent looks kinda cramped though :-)

Blast, where were you two camping? State park? It was an AWESOME private campground called Sulfur Springs Campground. http://www.bendtexas.comThe place was stunning with three miles along the Colorado river nestled between limestone cliffs filled with caves, springs, and plants. -Blast

The wife and daughters slept in the tent, I slept outside next to it in an army bivysack + tarp. Around midnight a storm rolled through. I stayed dry but the girls got wet from touching the sides of the tent. I love my bivysack! -Blast
