I am not sure what your kit bags are like, but a 15 inch bar should be easily accommodated by the ice axe loops on any of several good climbing day packs. If I were going out the door with my gear I would rate a good back pack as a very useful bit of equipment anyway.<br><br>I keep a longer conventional crowbar secured to the tool loops of the 3500 cu in bag I stow under my bed. Nice and handy if I have to pry my way out of earthquake debris. Although I am usually not one to go around prying into others affairs, I'll bet my 30 inch steel bar can out lever your 15 incher. Sometimes, longer is better..<br><br>Hope neither of us has to use a prybar in earnest..
