Weather is on topic to survival in a way as a major storm could cause the reason we need to use our PSK/whatever. Interesting to note the Network/server/systems monitoring people at the Bank I'm working for watch CNN and the weather channel on big screen TV's. We joke walking by that we wish we had a job where we could watch TV, but weather patterns which could lead to a storm/power outage/whatever could result in a system outage which would be directly related to the bank. I suppose CNN is because a terrorist attack could take out a building affecting the bank or something similar (I knew about the hits on 9/11 a few minutes before the news because of people on mailing lists asking why a bunch of their routers/cell phone equipment quit responding at the top of the WTC)

I Agree with Much of What you say, About how Much of this is Not our Humankind Fault! To the Extent that there Are or May be such Dire, or Upcoming, Earth Problems.

Coupled with How they Bear andor Don't Bear, on our Survival Preps.

But *If* the Earth is Still Genuinely Warming, at least Partly via X Amount of Substantially Increased CO 2 Levels since the Industrial Age, (This is a Proven Fact), -Then That is Something that is Genuinely Going On, with our Earth. That is also One Thing that Can be at least Largely Traced Back to us Humans. And it Does Have some Definite Survival and Preparedness Implications / Bearings.

This said, Parts of This anyway seem to me to Belong More to the Campfire Forum. But it is Not Entirely without Relevance here on This one.

There is also of course the Matter, of How Much and Where the Sky is Falling or Not, in any Given Earth Area!

While I did express myself strongly and with a fair bit of sarcasm I also demarked my emotional rant as such. Further I kept my comments in response to the topic without getting personal about those bringing up those topics. I appreciate getting personal comments in the form of a PM. As yet I have recieved some feedback on my post from individuals who felt that I might be a little too passionate about things but I have not gotten any PM or other interaction from the moderators. I don't mind folks stating their opinion strongly or otherwise on any topic and I feel free to do so as well. I do take a certain offense when I become a personal target for someones sarcasm in public. I have avoided that particular offense as much as possible and would appreciate it if I could count on the same courtesy.
