Saw these small strobe lights (11mm x 13mm ) and thought I'd try them. The 5 I bought didn't make it past my co-workers, so we just ordered more. They flash blue and red and have a removeable magnetic base. They are bright in a closed room. They are 5 strobes for $5.00, including a spare set of batteries. Can be seen at www.countycomm.com in the flashlight section, Tiny LED strobe. These guys are getting my money every week !!!

Well, that is exactly what they are used for! any flashing, colourful thing go's down well with rave bunnies!
(they have a magnetic clip so that you can "stick" it to your lips/nose/ears/body pearcings etc. I have one or 2 lying around, but i think that a photon 2 is a more powerful signalling device when not in a closed room.

Either way, the little strobes are a lot of fun

I was looking for an excuse to order a bunch of these, now I think I've found one.

Our volunteer group (Saint John Ambulance) provides First Aid support for local raves, and one of the things we like to do is practice. (Our youth members aren't permitted to volunteer for raves, the minimum age is 18 for that, but they love to practice it anyway.)

I could set up a "first aid scenario" where the only illumination is from 5 of these flashing strobes. (I can probably think of a lot more uses for them but that one should do for now.)

These look really cool... I just might buy some and let my imagination run wild. :-)

Thanks for the link.

That is a really great idea! make sure it is distiguishable from other ravers (ie, have 5 or 6 stationery lights?), and you have an effective first aid station locater!
