Just had the same thought, Les. My new Leatherman Wave came with quite capable stock pouch with 5 compartments, which are securely holding my EDC urban kit:
- Leatherman driver extension attachment;
- Leatherman Bit Kit;
- AAA LED flashlight;
- peanut lighter wrapped with 1.5 feet of duct tape;
- precise tweezers;
- several large (shoe repair like) sewing needles;
- normal sewing needle with several feet of Kevlar thread;
- about a foot of steel wire;
- Safety pin.
Most importantly, I can draw the tool, attachments, and the flashlight out without disturbing the rest of the items.
On the image
A - normal needle with thread;
B - Safety pin, also working as the tool holder (to compensate for the higher tool position in the pouch because of the lighter at the bottom of it;
C - front pocket with needles;
Red arrow - tweezers over the BitKit in the dedicated pocket;
Blue arrow - the split ring of the Peanut lighter securing it together with the flashlight.
