lol - surely with a survival blanket for shelter and a hip flask you've pretty much covered the bar room equipment group - and once you've got that far you probably won't want to be resuced

The container may be more helpful for gathering water than the knife. You could still improvise some tools for digging or accessing plant inards when you donīt have a knife. BTW drinking blood when you donīt have water is a bad idea. It increases your need for water. I still think that it would depend on the situation which tool would turn out to be the most important one. My only hope would be that have it when itīs needed.
