Using wood found in yard lit some pine needles with mini bic,a few twigs and away we go!

Adding sticks little finger size

lets make hotdogs...

Duck donated an egg...not bad at all!

Duck is a sweetheart,Khaki Campbell, and lays eggs for many years,unlike the retired pet chickens who really arent much after 2 seasons.But such sweet Girls,thats a fact.

Between the 2,will get ducks when chickens pass on (chickens can live a decade or more,Oh Joy...sarcasm...and mine are healthy healthy).Ducks far better egg layers over time if you arent into butchering.

Hint-Duck eggs are a secret ingredient to French cooking.

We butchered chickens once,that was enough "And tonight we are having Gimpy for dinner" doesnt cut it :{

Now Turkies...get the hatchet! They are ready to butcher in 13 weeks and arent cute at all compared to chickens you can get attached to in our experience.

Best chicken I ever had was a skinny little Leghorn,egg machine, and SWEET,they arent supposed to be sweeties but she was,Dam raccoon killed her,GRRRRRRR!!!!!!! I miss that bird,she was such a keeper.
