A bit lengthy film.
One character coud have been deleted ( along with 30 minutes of the movie).
But all in all , a great movie IMHO.

"This video contains content from Lionsgate, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

Edit: What movie have you directed us to? Can you tell us something about the movie beyond the fact you recommend it?

I recommend Doomsday Book, a South Korean movie produced in 2012. It's really three stories, two of which are somewhat related to doomsday situations. If you enjoy dark humor, parody, and satire, you might like it.

The first story is about food supply. The premise is that the way that the industrial food chain results in a zombie epidemic. Strangely enough, the way that zombies and clubbers are portrayed in the movie seems the same to me.

The second story is about a robot in a Buddhist monastery who seems to have achieved enlightenment. So they call a technician to decide whether this is a technical problem (needing repair) or a theological breakthrough.

The third story is about a meteor coming to smash into earth. Politicians and TV media personalities have amusing breakdowns. The meteor turns out to be a cosmic 8 ball.

I’m like the polar opposite of many Equipped to Survive members. I will not find many here who enjoy the things I do.

I watched this a few nights ago on the Syfy channel after suffering from some insomnia; Standard B movie American disaster TV fare movie produced on a low budget. Good for insomnia sufferers! wink

A Classic B&W film from 1949 about how a Scottish Island Community responds to a terrible disaster during World War 2.

I would also check out the following;

Scott of the Antarctic (1948) or How to fail miserably with stiff upper lip (Frozen) laugh

An alternate title might be "Why it is a bad idea for someone with no competence at this kind of thing to be taking on this type of task".

Amazing how this guy who managed to get his entire party killed due mostly to negligence and incompetence on his part became a British national hero.

Now I am curious. What activities are polar opposite? I think you might be surprised by the variety of folks on this site.

I was thinking the same thing as GarlyDog/Gary. Emergency preparation, like guns, may attract a particular crowd, but within any group there is often a surprising amount of variation. Recognizing such diversity may be a good thing for the forum. Besides, in an emergency you're up the same s**t creek no matter what sort of stuff you like.

Just for one data point, there are three people at least with anime avatar. That may be as many as the dog avatars. That's pretty good.
