Has anyone flown over the weekend? It's sounding like funding cuts to TSA is reportedly causing delays at security checkpoints. Ugh, those lines are already long enough even when they are fully staffed. Just wondering if anyone has noted longer delays in person, or whether the reports are sort of sensationalizing something that isn't generally a problem at most airports.

I have an international flight coming up in a few weeks, so longer lines at security and through immigration and at customs due to staff cutbacks is going to be a pain in the butt if these delays are to be expected.

My wife flew from St. Louis to Dallas on Friday, back on Sunday.
She didn't report any unusual delays.

Some stories have noted that since it is required to give Federal employees 30 days notice of layoff/furlough there should not be any serious impact felt before the first of April.
