Any idea what it weighs? Wally gives a shipping weight of one pound, so it must be fairly light....

For years I have always included something like this, a hooded shell in my gear, regardless of the weather, as part of my basics. This would serve admirably to that end, and the price is amazing!

It weighs about 9 ounces including the stuff sack. Someone made a suggestion on how to test its waterproofness so I am doing that tonight. Should have results in the morning. probably won't be able to post until evening as I will be at a coin show all day.

However, the coin show ended up being on the same day as the gun show so I will have to miss the gun show. I did buy raffle tickets though and am planning on a couple nice new guns to complement my current assortment.

I am the coin club treasurer so can't very well skip the coin club show for the gun show. I think I had to skip a couple coin club shows when I was gun club treasurer and had to be there instead.

My coffee came yesterday.

I've gone to my local goodwill stores and picked up some gems...got a Manchester United Umbro team wind breaker for $3.79....a 6" chef skillet that I took camping recently and made salmon and pesto with rice....assorted cooking utensils at 50 cents apiece. If you have one local I highly recommend them.

I've had two similar packable jackets. The first one was uncoated nylon and had vents - it worked well. The second one had something similar to DWR coating on the inside and while it keeps the wind and the rain out very well, it can quickly get you wet from the inside out if you start to sweat even a little.
