Happy Birthday young gel!
If she grabs some rubber gloves (hand protection, ranger bands...) and a scalpel on the way out of the operating theatre, she's our kind of woman!

I rang a friend who's wife was due the day after and asked how it went (obviously I'm not a parent) he said
"she's missed the deadline; she's already slipped by 24 hours and NOW she can't give me a firm date for the deliverable. Frankly it's not looking good for her review"

think he's been project managing too long...

My wife and I are basically herbivores + chicken, so we buy a lot of vegetables. Broccoli bunches come with those little blue rubber bands that I save and use like ranger bands. They are strong, stretchy, and more flexible than inner tube bands.

In reviewing this thread, one notes that Bacpackjac should be a mommy about now. I doubt she is on line at the moment, but does anyone have an update?

I am sure she will update when appropriate. Health and safety to Jacqui and the new ETS member.

Best wishes to BPJ and her family
I think a dedicated thread is a good idea.

Re: Ranger bands, I almost always see reference to bicycle tire tubes. Are there any ranger bands made of motorbike tire tubes ?? Any ranger bands from small car tires ??? Although I acknowledge that most cars now are tubelss. However if there are any non-bicylce ranger bands, where can they be used ?

Me asking because I have kept the last tubes of my car when shifting to tubeless.

From what I've heard, it will work as long as the band is a decent size for its purposes. I wouldn't want to over-stretch a too-small band, or try to double up one too large. Also, be aware of aging rubber, as it may lose strength or even fail completely.

A rubber band (much lower quality rubber than a decent tube, of course) is an easy example: If you find one that has been sitting in a drawer for several months, you know it won't perform so well.
