Poundland in the UK are stocking disposable lighters with built in torches. Powered by 3 hearing aid batteries, so should last and are surprisingly powerful. They are 3 for £1. Obviously not a main light, no sane person is going to bet their life on 33p worth of technology; but you can't have too many torches!
They come in and out of stock so try a week later if your local poundland doesn't have them.

Basically the left half is used as a (refillable) lighter with piezo, and the right half is a torch, some have replaceable batteries)

I fail to see the usefulness of combing a butane lighter and a flashlight.

Having said that, I do have a couple of lighters that each include a TORCH ( meaning a jet flame), as well as the usual slow flame.

IIRC, they have two refillable butane tanks.
They are essentialy two lighters in one.

I picked up a new lighter last week and just today realized that it's got a little LED in it. I'm not going to go ditching my edc flashlight for it but for the same price as a regular BIC, not a horrible backup.

It never hurts to have an extra light kicking around, but how much inner space does the battery and stuff occupy?

Given the choice I would take more fuel over an LED light, but I suppose for the price it's not that big a deal. Most prep minded people I know only carry them as backups anyway.
