I don't know if you heard of the Christmas eve/day storms that hit Texas. We, along with 68,000 other Houstonians, lost power around 9am, right after opening presents. It came back on at our place after six hours.
This power loss didn't change our Christmas Day at all. Of course, having backup power supplies helped.
