I've had the Midland for years. Greatest device. I have an antenna adapter in my truck and use the portable antenna and battery pack when traveling or in the wife's car.

The majority of the handheld cb's are made for cobra, midland, etc by maxon so they are pretty much all the same with slightly different features enabled or disabled. You can make a quick change to the 75-822 to enable Ssb like the cherokee version of it for example.
