Howdy All, Is there some sort of a big run on these? I always keep several boxes on hand, you know, to fight the hoards of bushytailed, zombie tree rats and the occasional sabre toothed pepsi can. I stopped at my local Wally World to pick up a couple more boxes and nothing. The store employee said they didn't have any on hand or in the warehouse. I got the same story at Gander Mountain, Bass Pro, and checking the websites of Sportsmans Guide, Cheaper Than Dirt, Midway USA, etc. Everywhere I look, they are sold out and on backorder with availability not till December. Anyone else seen this or is it just local to my area? Thanks, LW

It may have to do with a politcian from Chicago proposing a Five cent per round tax on ammo. That would mean bulk pack of 525 rounds 22LR could be over double its price. In my area 22LR costs $19.95 on average.A nickle a round times 525 is $26.25.Just the rumor could cause a run on certain ammo.More so if it can not be reloaded. So if you are from Illinois, that may be why.....

Midway, Natchez are out as far as I can tell. Mini-Mags should be back in stock at Midway ( Midway) by Oct 31. I just now checked MidSouth Shooters and they are showing the CCI Mini-Mag 100 rnd boxes in supply. They now have fewer in stock

Thanks for the offer MDinana, but that really isn't necessary. I really appreciate it though. Like I said, I have some, I just wanted to add some more. I also remembered a local gun shop kind of off the beaten path about 45 minutes from where I live. I checked with them and they had some. I went there and bought the last brick off of the shelf.
I've never tried the CCI Blazer bulk pack. If it is truly repackaged MiniMags then that would be the way to go. Sure would take up less room in an ammo box. I've used CCI Blazer 9mm with good success. Just can't reload them.
Thanks everyone,
LW
