I have been using shoulder bags for two years now and I intend to keep using them as they are much more convenient than carrying stuff in pockets.

The only time I don't have them on my person is funerals or weddings as I don't want to show up the ladies by carrying a practical bag while they have everything crammed into those cute little napkin holders they call purses. Even then, the bag is in the car, and short of the building falling down which might require a really long pry bar (which I don't have even in my car.) or a folding military shovel with pick (which I do have in my car.), an altoids tin setup is not going to do diddly in those circumstances.
