The article about the kit in a small matchbox was good. She mentioned putting a birthday candle in the kit. That reminded me that my brother uses birthday candles that dont blow out in his BOB. I keep 4 sparklers cause they seem to be the thing to get some heat/spark going.

I like www.intherabbithole.com They tend to focus on longer interruptions of services such as those caused by Katrina or the Joplin, MO tornado.

The website and podcast is labelled as "urban survival", but most of what I've read and heard applies to most all disaster preparedness on land.
