While both alcohol and vegetable oil have multiple uses, I think the value of alcohol for other uses, like barter, will likely be higher than an equal quantity of oil. And that freshly pressed oil is going to go rancid very quickly since it isn't hydrogenated like commercially prepared oil while the alcohol can last a good long time.
If kept in a basement or root cellar, olive oil stays good for over a year or more. I imagine sunflower oil would be similar. And of course, alcohol is optional. Fats from oil are a critical part of human survival. Although if you made good hooch I imagine you could trade it for just about anything you'd need.
