Would a handful of adapter plugs - like tourists use when going to foreign countries - help any? Not for the big heavy power appliances or built-in lighting, but for little things.
The adapter plugs I have seen only help fit gadgets in outlets of different type, but I have not seen such adapters with built in transformers. But in any case, most small gadgets we have ( like iPad, i Pod ..etc. ) are dual voltage and do not need any adapter except for right type of plug. I have started replacing the American type of 220v outlets with another type that is universal and will take any type of plug. If I find a picture I will post it.
