I understand that a large solar flare is headed our way. Some are predicting being able to see Northern Lights as far South as Alabama on evenings of 14th /15th. Might be worth a peak.

Evidently NOAA and NASA aren't not singing the same tune in their predictions. Could be interesting, or not.

I'm hoping for "interesting" in a scientific observation kind-of-way, not "interesting" in a blackout kind-of-way.

Generator and fuel standing by just in case...

Last time I saw the Northern Lights in IL was in the early 1980's. We are overdue.
