The Olicamp space-saver cup that fits around a Nalgene bottle has been around a good while, however being stainless steel it is a heavy option.
At a backpacking store this weekend I saw this venerable cup offered in aluminum, both
plain and
hard anodized, which I haven't seen before. The fold-out handles seemed solid and the cup has ounce markings stamped deeply into the side. Unfortunately they stamped it so that the lettering is backwards on the inner surface, but you can figure it out well enough. 24 ounce capacity to the brim.
I will stay with my SnowPeak 700ml cup since it is a bit wider and thus fits the more squat 1L Gatorade bottle. But the aluminum Olicamp would be a good choice for Nalgene users looking to save both weight and cost.
No affiliation, just lookin' out for my ETS bros and she-bros!
