energizer aa phone charger deal

FWIW I just put in an order for one of these so I don't have any basis for a review, but has anyone checked out the JOOS Orange solar charger? It appears to be a hardened solar charger with better capabilities than the norm. http://solarjoos.com/. Its available online and at local rei.com. I'll post a review after I've had a chance to use it for a while. My plan as usual is to deploy it as my charger when the power is out.

Might be a neat thing to have, considering it's so cheap. But I think they might be a tad on the optimistic side with that "10 hours talk time" claim. My phone won't even do that with its heavy duty Li-Ion battery. And they claim to be able to do it with two AA batteries? Me thinks not. Try "a few minutes talk time". Which may be enough (especially if using text messages and not voice calls). A "10 hour" claim is pure nonsense. Maybe they're counting the 10 hours you'd be yelling at the silly thing after is exhausted itself in a few minutes as part of that "talk time"?

I can get a significant charge on my iPhone with a similar unit. Not ten hours of talk time, but at least 30min. Way more with texting.
