Are they red enough?
I can't really laugh too hard 'cause I remember one winter when my typical outerwear was insulated coveralls. They were Carhartt brown (but not Carhartt) -- they weren't bright red. Insulated coveralls are very good at holding in body heat. Good insulated boots and wool socks completed the package. I never found a need for a balaclava but I imagine a Minnesota winter would change my needs.
These days I prefer to layer (wool and synthetic) and leave the coveralls in storage.
